Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

At Camp Tioga we truly understand that children are our future. As parents, our responsibilities include nurturing and guiding them through the best of life’s experiences, while providing them with outstanding opportunities to learn and grow physically, socially and emotionally.

Camp Tioga is more than just a camp. Our confidence building, ego-boosting environment is designed to help each camper thrive. While prioritizing the safety of each child in our care, we take away the outside world’s labels and allow our kids to truly be themselves! Do we have activities? Of course! But that’s not what sets us apart. Our family-built foundation makes everyone feel special. In a camp where everyone knows each other by name, it is impossible to not fit in!

Each camper at Camp Tioga will feel as if they are a part of something special from day one. Our passion is the driving force behind “our home away from home”. Our campers will return home from their summer at Camp Tioga as more independent, social, fulfilled versions of themselves.

We are always thrilled to discuss any aspect of our program with you. Please call us at 516-938-0894 or email us at info@camptioga.com and get to know us better!

First Time Families

Giving your child the gift of camp can be one of the best, but hardest, things you ever do! Allowing your child to venture off into an unknown environment, meet new friends, and find out new things about themselves is an incredible gift.

We will work with you from day one to understand your needs and expectations, along with those of your child.

At Camp Tioga communication is key. Along with emailing you daily blogs, photos and weekly videos, we are always available for a phone call. Our Directors are more than happy to check in with your child and let you know how things are going.

We try to learn about each camper as best as possible before the summer even begins. The more we know the better prepared we can be for their first time away from home!

We promise to do everything possible to ensure that your child has the best possible camp experience. We will help your child become more independent, more mature, learn new skills, and become less reliant on mobile devices for their social interactions and relationships.

First day of camp is an unforgettable experience! We have buses departing from New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia to bring campers to camp! We are also able to pick up from airports. You can also drop your child off on the first day. Specific info with times and addresses will be sent out before the summer to each registered family

We work with every child to ensure they are settling in to the Tioga swing of things! We will send out a video during the first week with highlights from the first 24 hours along with daily blogs. If you would prefer to speak with one of our Directors you can call the office anytime and we will happily check in to see how your child is doing!

Yes! We do limit it to 2 packages per session. We will send out mailing labels prior to the summer that must be attached to packages before sending them

When is laundry done?
Laundry is sent out once a week and returned the next day. It is very important that all of your child’s clothing is clearly labeled with their name.

Yes! We will schedule a phone call for you during weeks 2 and 3 of session one and week 6 of session two.

What about emailing my child?

We do not allow any electronic devices that have Wi-Fi capability or built in cameras. This includes IPod Touches, Ipads, Digital cameras. Basic MP3 players are fine for listening to music. Also, there are no video games allowed at camp. With so much packed into each day there is no need for mobile devices!

How does spending money work?
We advise setting up a spending account for your child for the summer that is held in the office. This will be used sporadically throughout the summer on trip days and for Camp Tioga’s General Store. We suggest $100 for campers coming Sessions 1 or 2 and $200 for campers staying the full summer. All money is held in the office and campers must come themselves if they wish to withdraw any money from their account. We closely monitor how much they can withdraw each day.

Will my child ever leave camp?
Yes! As a camper they will go on some incredible day trips throughout the summer. In smaller groups campers can hike Elk Mountain as well as participate in different inter-camp activities.

We supply equipment for almost all activities. We have plenty of tennis rackets and hockey sticks etc. If you choose you can send your children’s own equipment, and this will be stored in their sport’s bins for safety reasons. These will be accessible for them at all times. Your specific equipment is needed to roller-blade, but we have all the pads!
